George Chalekian
Creative Director
George's advertising career took flight at Ogilvy & Mather's swanky L.A. office, where he was schooled in classical branding on clients like American Express, Carnation, The Las Vegas Hilton, Mattel Toys, and Microsoft. Spending over two years at DDB Needham's Honolulu office, he won national acclaim for his work on Aloha Airlines, GTE Hawaiian Tel, and Ihilani Resort and Spa.
Finishing school came at San Francisco's Anderson & Lembke/SF, one of the industry's pioneers in offline-online integration. The model was refined and polished on clients like Microsoft and The Wall Street Journal Interactive, which George was instrumental in launching. After A&L's acquisition by McCann Erickson, George put to the model to work on Silicon Graphics and the launch of Hewlett-Packard's Agilent division, whose initial public offering was Silicon Valley's largest ever, netting $1.2 billion.
After joining McCann's interactive spin-off, Zentropy Partners, he crafted brand experiences for General Motors' BuyPower division, Microsoft, and Silicon Graphics with impressive results.
George joined SF Interactive as National Creative Director in August of 2000, working on Jiffy Lube, Ford Motor Company, Cisco, and VeriSign. His work earned SF Interactive Business to Business Interactive Agency of the Year, and a host of creative awards.
In fall of 2002 George returned to Hawai'I as an Executive Creative Director, overseeing strategic and creative development for both Milici Valenti Ng Pack, the offline agency, and Firefly, its interactive group. Under his leadership, the agency grew its billings by 50% and seen its work showcased in Cannes. In 2007 George became the agency's Chief Strategist and Idea Officer which, roughly translated, means he gets to work on everything but his tan.
